Hello! My name is Nina Dollis and I am Australian/Greek, fluent in both the English and Greek languages.
I received my first degree in Psychology from the State University of New York – Empire State College,
which was recognised by the Ministry of Health, giving me the legal license to practice psychology in Greece.
I then obtained a master’s specialization from the University of Central Lancashire in Health Psychology which looks
at the connection between mental and physical health. My post training is in Systemic Therapy from the
Athenian Institute of Anthropos (AKMA), which is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on individuals personal
relationships with their family, and how these interactions and roles can influence the wellbeing of the individual
seeking treatment.
Psychology is a consistently growing field so I attend seminars and conferences every year, to be up to date with
what new treatment methods may be able to help my patients.
I have been working in my private practice in Athens for the past 6 years seeing people who have various ranges of problems.
In my practice I offer individual therapy sessions, couples therapy, group therapy, and online therapy for individuals who do not have time to come to my office.
I have been working at Metropolitan Hospital since 2019 in the 4th Oncology Clinic consulting patients who are being treated for different types of cancer, and their families systemically to help them cope through the transitional phase of the diagnosis-treatment and life after.
This is done through one-on-one therapy sessions and group therapy sessions according to each patients and their family’s needs.
